Brightening and tone-evening. Not a skin lightener — here's the difference.

Build note — two things before launch. Tiles need product photography (actives graphic, lather shot, range shot). And the bar is saponified palm oil (Sodium Palmate / Sodium Palm Kernelate): if the supply is RSPO-certified, say so on this page, because it's the first thing a sustainability-minded customer will look for. Clear this note once both are settled.
What's actually in the bar
a cleanser that earns its place.
Most brightening soaps are scented base with a claim on the wrapper. This one carries niacinamide, stable vitamin C, glycolic acid and a physical polish — four actives and two kinds of exfoliation.
Niacinamide
Fifth on the ingredient list, ahead of the fragrance — unusual in a soap. Works on the look of uneven patches while supporting the barrier, so cleansing doesn't leave you tight.
Vitamin C
As sodium ascorbyl phosphate — the stable form, which is the only kind worth putting in a bar that lives in a wet bathroom.
Glycolic acid
The smallest AHA, so it works fast — which matters when a product is on your skin for ninety seconds before it rinses.
Apricot seed powder
The physical half of the polish. Ground fine enough to smooth rough patches without the scratch of a harsh scrub.
Carrot seed oil
Antioxidant-rich and warm-toned, so the finish reads lit rather than stripped.
Vitamin E + glycerin
Tocopherol protects the oils in the bar; glycerin is why your skin doesn't squeak afterwards.
Honest about rinse-off
A bar is on your skin for a minute and a half. It does real work in that time, but the heavy lifting on dark spots belongs to the lotion, serum and cream, which stay on for hours.
What it will not do
Change your skin colour. This is a brightening and tone-evening bar. No hydroquinone, no mercury, no steroids — and we'd say so on the label if there were.

Why we made this
A soap is the one product everybody already owns, which is exactly why most brands don't bother putting anything real in it.
We put the niacinamide above the fragrance on the ingredient list, added glycolic acid and an apricot polish, and kept the house scent. It's still a soap. It just isn't only a soap.

Before you buy
the questions we actually get
Will this lighten my skin?
No. This is a brightening and tone-evening bar — it works on the look of dullness and uneven texture so your tone reads more even. It is not a skin lightener, it contains no hydroquinone, mercury or steroids, and we don't sell it as one.
Can a wash-off product really do anything?
Some things, honestly. The glycolic acid and apricot powder exfoliate on contact, and the niacinamide sits high enough in the formula to matter. But a bar rinses in ninety seconds — the serious work on dark spots belongs to the lotion, serum and cream that stay on your skin for hours. We'd rather tell you that than oversell a soap.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes, and plenty of people do. It contains glycolic acid, so start two or three times a week on the face and build up rather than going straight to daily.
How often should I use it?
Daily on the body is fine for most people. If your skin is sensitive or you're already using acids elsewhere in your routine, space it out — exfoliation compounds, and more is not better.
How long does one bar last?
It's 7 oz, roughly double a standard bar. Keep it somewhere it can drain and dry between uses and it'll last considerably longer than one that sits in a puddle.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
It's fragranced and declares hexyl cinnamal, citronellol and alpha-isomethyl ionone — all common fragrance allergens. If you react to those, this one isn't for you. Patch test on your inner arm first if you're unsure.
Will it stain my flannel or towels?
The bar contains cosmetic colourants (CI 15510, CI 19140). It rinses clean, but rinse a light-coloured cloth through properly rather than leaving it to dry with lather in it.
